Lancashire Cardiac Centre live with CareCube.

NHS

Continuing the expansion of the CareCube footprint, we are delighted to announce we are now fully live with the Lancashire Cardiac Centre in Blackpool.

Bilal Patel, Director of Cardiology at the Blackpool Centre has already seen a dramatic improvement to performance in the centre, remarking “The realtime nature of CareCube, that connects all of our teams both inside and outside of the cath lab, is already enabling us to seamlessly evolve our service and achieve improvements in the utilisation of our resources”. The Lancashire Cardiac Centre is one of the UK’s leading centres, and have recently added a 5th cardiology lab.

CareCube have also initiated a multi-centre “cost-consequence” study to demonstrate the true impact CareCube has. This work is being supported by the Innovation Agency, and has been backed by a grant from the Office of Life Sciences to support input from York Health Economic Centre. As Tim Coutts, CEO at CareCube observed, “All engaged in this study are excited that the construct will demonstrate in measurable, financial terms, the real-world uplift CareCube delivers. Increasing the use of current resource is a key strategy of the NHS; CareCube delivers this in a way that supports the whole multi-disciplinary team.”

Recently, Liverpool Heart and Chest published a case study to this effect.
